Bruce
Bruce

Dear Corinth Alcorn County Humane Society, I want to thank you so much for all the hard work you put in towards saving innocent animals. I adopted my puppy Conner (you named him Bruce) from you in April of 2008. I just wanted to give you an update. At the time it was assumed that he was part pug but time has proven that he is the prettiest mutt that anyone could ever ask for. I do believe the he has some Corgie in him as well as terrier and maybe some pug, but in all honesty I could care less. I love him just for being him. When I first got him he had a limp back leg because when he got his first shots a nerve was hit. In time he did get the used of his leg back. He still limps, but I believe that it is more out of habit than out of pain. Conner moved to Auburn with me in August 2008 to go to school. He has turned out to be an excellent tigers fan and absolutely LOVE to wear clothes. Since we have moved home for the summer I get more messages from my friends saying that they miss him more than me. He is the sweetest most caring dog and I want to thank you so much for allowing me to be the proud parent of such a wonderful joy. Hope you enjoy the pictures! Thanks so much, Stephanie J.

Sandi
Sandi

I am sending an updated picture of Sandi to you guys. I like to keep ya’ll posted on how she is doing. She goes potty in the house. We have a swimming pool with a square cut out the side and put puppy pads down and she pees and poos on them. She is such a good dog and learns very quickly. She is hardly ever bad. She hasn’t had an accident in over six months and she never chews on anything. She loves to give lovings and to receive them also. Thank you! Deeanna and Kevin

Dakota and Seqouia
Dakota and Seqouia

New Bedford, Massachusetts

Thank you Michael and Peggy. Dakota and Sequoia are adjusting very well. When they first arrived they didn't know what the strange scent of the ocean was. Their little noses were up in the air and sniffing away. We live on a bike path that runs along the ocean and into an old fort that was transformed to a park. They walk every morning (at 5:00 a.m.) and then again in the evening. They have made many new friends of all shapes and sizes. Sequoia plays and Dakota protects. Sequoia thinks she has found her father because we meet a very large male dog every Sunday that looks just like her. And the fun thing about it is that he really treats her like a daughter and plays gently with her. Their people friends along the bike path just love to meet up with them. They're watching Sequoia grow and noticing the progress with Dakota. Dakota is still very frightened of men, but is coming around with females. Dakota was very thin when she arrived and now looks very nice. She's naturally thin, but looks very good. She loves to hunt (her past is still very much with her). She is still on a leash, but knows where the bunnies hang out along the bike path. Every time she gets out there she chases them as far as her leash will let her go. Sequoia is just being a puppy. She loves to play with her new toys, but mostly picks on her mother. She loves flowers and has tasted almost every wildflower along the path! Dakota is getting very adventurous and has actually gotten into the ocean. After trying to drink the ocean water a few times she has given up. Dakota is very attached to me and when I get home from work she actually gives me kisses. Sequoia if very much attached to Butch. When she hears his voice she will come running with her tail wagging and she too is full of kisses. The girls have come a long way and seem very happy. Dakota is still very frightened of many things. She was on her own for at least a year and who knows what she has encountered. She had a terrible life until you rescued her and now we are trying to give her a life full of love. Thank you again for finding Dakota and her puppies.

Maddie
Maddie

Jackson, MS

I just wanted to give you an update and let you know how happy I am I found Maddie. I adopted Maddie (or Tassie as you remember her) a year ago this week and I could not have found a better companion. She is a perfect mix of dachshund and minature pincher and has the sweetest disposition. We have bought a house and she now has a backyard to play in. Her favorite sport is to play ball and best of all she was housetrained within a few months. Thanks again for bringing us together!
