Brief Summary of 2025 Montgomery County Health Service Day

On October 26, 2025, the Chinese American Community Health Services (CACHS) held its 2025 Montgomery County Chinese Community Health Service Day in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This event served as the second stop of the 2025 Greater Washington Chinese Community Charity Health Examination and Resource Service Month.

Event Highlights and Services

  • Medical Consultations: A team of 11 licensed Chinese-American doctors provided personalized consultations to 60 residents.
  • Health Screenings: Over 100 community members received free health checks, including blood tests, BMI, blood pressure, bone density, and hearing and depression screenings.
  • Vaccinations: The CCACC Health Center provided on-site flu shots for attendees.
  • Educational Resources: Dr. Shuling Zhang delivered a well-received lecture on Montgomery County’s public health benefits for seniors.
  • Community Support: Multiple organizations provided information on Alzheimer’s care, chronic disease prevention, and Medicare application assistance.

Volunteer and Government Recognition

The event was made possible by over 60 volunteers, including medical professionals and student volunteers from the Chinese Youth Outreach Club (CYOC). Maryland State Delegate Lily Qi attended the event to present official citations from the Maryland General Assembly, recognizing the organizers for their selfless dedication to the community.
