2026 CACHS English Club Offline Meetup

On June 27, 2026, the Chinese American Community Health Services (CACHS) hosted the in-person graduation ceremony for its 2026 online “English Club” project. Funded by the Montgomery County government, the initiative successfully delivered 96 Zoom lessons during the first half of the year to Chinese-American seniors aged 60 and above. The curriculum focused on daily English conversations to help participants adapt to American life and improve family communication. Taught by fluent bilingual instructor Ms. Inanna Almitra Felton and supported by local youth volunteers, the event celebrated senior achievements through student speeches, cultural performances, and attendance awards. This program highlights a successful community model for lifelong learning and elder integration.
