CACHS 2026 Annual Free Health Screenings Now Open for Registration

Chinese American Community Health Services (CACHS) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for its 2026 Annual Free Health Screenings, serving low-income, uninsured community residents in the Greater Washington, D.C. region.
The program is designed to improve access to preventive health services for community members who may otherwise have difficulty obtaining routine health screenings and medical care. No U.S. citizenship or Green Card is required to participate. Space is limited, and registration may close early once capacity is reached.
Participants will first complete a free blood test at a participating laboratory and then attend one of CACHS’s two Community Health Service Days—on October 17 in Fairfax, Virginia, or October 25 in Gaithersburg, Maryland—where they will receive additional health services and individual consultations with licensed volunteer healthcare professionals.
Free Health Screening Services
The 2026 program includes a comprehensive free blood test, covering:
- • Complete Blood Count (CBC);
- • Comprehensive blood chemistry panel…
- • Lipid/cholesterol panel; and
- • Hepatitis B and C screening.
Participants will also receive free individual health consultations with licensed volunteer healthcare professionals based on their laboratory results and other health screening findings. Additional on-site health screenings may also be provided as appropriate.
Free flu vaccinations will be available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.
How to Participate
Participation involves three basic steps:

1. Register online.
Complete the online registration form. A $10 registration fee is the only required cost for participating in the program; blood testing and health consultation services are provided free of charge. -
2. Complete your blood test.
After registration, CACHS volunteers will provide instructions for completing your blood draw at a participating laboratory. Northern Virginia participants will use participating Quest Diagnostics locations, while Montgomery County participants will use participating LabCorp locations. -
3. Attend the Community Health Service Day.
After the blood test is completed, participants will attend the designated health service day, where licensed volunteer healthcare professionals will review their screening results, provide one-on-one health consultations, and offer appropriate health guidance. When needed, participants may also be referred to charitable or community healthcare organizations for further evaluation and care.

Special August Blood Test Arrangement in Fairfax
With the generous support of Dr. Benson Yu, Fairfax-area participants have an additional option during August. From August 6 through August 27, participants may visit Dr. Yu’s clinic on Thursday or Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM to obtain the necessary forms and have their blood drawn during the same visit.

Because the blood testing includes fasting blood glucose, participants using this option should fast before the blood draw. Plain water is permitted.

During the Health Service Day, licensed volunteer healthcare professionals will provide consultations based on participants’ screening results and, when necessary, assist participants in connecting with charitable healthcare organizations for further evaluation and treatment.
